A quick look at the variety of pantomimes happening in the UK this festive season<\/span><\/h2>\n

It\u2019s the most wonderful time of the year, and that time is\u2026 Panto season! Nothing gets people quite in the mood for Christmas like a bit of audience participation, a comically dressed pantomime dame and a rather large helping of double entendres.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

And with that, we\u2019re saying,<\/span> \u201cIt\u2019s behind you!\u201d <\/span>to Halloween and diving into some of the exciting pantomimes that will be gracing our stages this winter in the UK:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2018Peter Pan\u2019<\/span><\/h3>\n

Kicking things off is the famous <\/span>Palladium<\/span> pantomime, <\/span>Peter Pan<\/span><\/i>. The cast of London\u2019s annual festive fanfare is as star-studded as ever, including comedy icon and Spotlight member Jennifer Saunders and Palladium regulars Julian Clary and Spotlight members Nigel Havers, Gary Wilmot<\/span> and Rob Madge.<\/span><\/p>\n

Along with the remarkable cast, <\/span>Peter Pan<\/span><\/i> will see fabulous costumes, wonderful songs and outstanding special effects light up the West End. Come and see the boy who never grows up from 9 December 2023 to 14 January 2024.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2018Jac and the Beanstalk\u2019<\/span><\/h3>\n

West End star and Spotlight member Adam Bailey leads as \u2018Jac\u2019 in this exciting adaptation of the famous fairytale. Joining Bailey on stage will be comedy legend and Spotlight member Lesley Joseph as \u2018The Spirit of the Beans\u2019 and the famous panto dame,<\/span> Mike Doyle, as \u2018Dame Trot\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

This exciting cast will be shining on the stage of Cardiff\u2019s <\/span>New Theatre <\/span>from Saturday 9 December 2023 all the way through the festive season until Sunday 7 January 2024.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2018Pinocchio\u2019<\/span><\/h3>\n

Returning to <\/span>Newcastle Theatre Royal <\/span>for their 18th panto are comedy legends Clive Webb and Spotlight member Danny Adams, who will be taking on the roles of \u2018Geppetto\u2019 and \u2018Pinocchio\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

Joining them on stage this Christmas is <\/span>X Factor<\/span><\/i> star and Spotlight member Joe McElderry as \u2018Jiminy Cricket\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

This production marks the premiere of <\/span>Pinocchio<\/span><\/i> for the <\/span>Theatre Royal<\/span> and will open on Tuesday 28 November 2023 until Sunday 14 January 2024.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2018Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs\u2019\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

EastEnders<\/span><\/i> and <\/span>Strictly Come Dancing<\/span><\/i> star James Bye and TV and Radio presenter Andy Collins star in <\/span>The Waterside\u2019s<\/span> panto, <\/span>Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs<\/span><\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n

A memorable trip to the theatre is guaranteed with all the traditional panto content including hilarious comedic performances, audience participation and fantastic costumes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Directed by pantomime award winner and Spotlight member Chris Nelson, Aylesbury is sure to have barrels of fun with this festive treat!<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2018Jack and the Beanstalk\u2019<\/span><\/h3>\n

Straight off the West End stage in his hugely popular run of <\/span>The Wizard of Oz<\/span><\/i>, Spotlight member Jason Manford takes to the <\/span>Manchester Opera House<\/span> stage as \u2018Jack\u2019 in this year’s gigantic panto.<\/span><\/p>\n

Manford will be joined once again by panto favourite and Spotlight member Ben Nickless as \u2018Silly Simon\u2019, with Myra DuBois and Spotlight members Samara Casteallo and Emma Williams accompanying them.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The brand new production of this classic tale will be lighting up Manchester from Saturday 2 December to Sunday 31 December 2023.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2018Cinderella\u2019<\/span><\/h3>\n

From the <\/span>Strictly Come Dancing<\/span><\/i> ballroom to the glamorous stage of the <\/span>Wimbledon New Theatre<\/span>, Craig Revel Horwood is taking on the role of \u2018the Wicked Stepmother\u2019 in this year’s production of <\/span>Cinderella<\/span><\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Horwood will be joined by a hugely talented cast including Spotlight members Cassie Compton as \u2018Cinderella\u2019, Pete Firman as \u2018Buttons\u2019, Daniel Norford as \u2018Dandini\u2019 and the fabulous Alison Jiear as \u2018the Fairy Godmother\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

With cheeky innuendos and enough glitter to fill Centre Court, Wimbledon\u2019s <\/span>Cinderella<\/span><\/i> is sure to be a hit for the whole family from Friday 8 December 2023 to Sunday 7 January 2024.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2018Peter Pan\u2019<\/span><\/h3>\n

Poirot is moving to panto this year in the <\/span>Bristol Old Vic<\/span> production of <\/span>Peter Pan<\/span><\/i>, where star of the stage and screen drama and Spotlight member David Suchet will take on the role of the iconic villain, \u2018Captain Hook\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

Joining Suchet in this exciting production is Steps and <\/span>Strictly Come Dancing<\/span><\/i> star and Spotlight member Faye Tozer as \u2018the Magic Mermaid\u2019 and returning for his 11th panto is Andy Ford as \u2018Mr. Smee\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

From Saturday 2 December through to Sunday 31 December 2023, audiences will be able to enjoy the festive frivolities of the <\/span>Bristol Hippodrome<\/span> panto.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

May McFettridge returns to the<\/span> Grand Opera House<\/span> in her record breaking 33rd pantomime dame performance, this year taking on the role of \u2018May of the Mirror\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

Joining her on stage in Belfast this festive season is comedian Phil Walker and star of stage and screen and Spotlight member Paddy Jenkins. And if all of that wasn\u2019t enough, <\/span>Britain\u2019s Got Talent<\/span><\/i> finalists Flawless will dance their way across the stage as \u2018The Queen\u2019s Guards\u2019.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Staged by Olivier award-winning producer Michael Harrison and directed and choreographed by award-winning Graham McClusky, <\/span>Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs<\/span><\/i> is bound to bring Belfast buckets of joy this festive season.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2018Peter Pan: An Arena Spectacular\u2019<\/span><\/h3>\n

We fly back to Neverland in this next retelling of the beloved tale of the boy who doesn\u2019t want to grow up \u2013 only this time this production is going on tour.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pop star and <\/span>I\u2019m a Celebrity <\/span><\/i>contestant Boy George takes on the villainous role of evil \u2018Captain Hook\u2019 in this exciting new production, touring arenas up and down the country.<\/span><\/p>\n

Joining Boy George on stage is <\/span>Real Housewives of Beverly Hills<\/span><\/i> star Dorit Kemsley as \u2018The Mermaid\u2019, rising comedy star and Spotlight member Jordan Conway as \u2018Peter Pan\u2019 and a cast of 50 others.<\/span><\/p>\n

From the production company that took <\/span>Elf: The Musical<\/span><\/i> out on tour last winter, <\/span>Peter Pan<\/span><\/i> is a high-budget extravaganza and will be stopping off at <\/span>Winter Gardens Blackpool<\/span>, <\/span>M&S Bank Arena Liverpool<\/span>, <\/span>Utilita Arena Cardiff<\/span>, <\/span>Resort World Arena Birmingham<\/span>, <\/span>P&J Live Arena Aberdeen<\/span>, <\/span>OVO Hydro Arena Glasgow<\/span>, <\/span>Motorpoint Arena Nottingham<\/span> and finishing off at the <\/span>Eventim Apollo<\/span> in Hammersmith.<\/span><\/p>\n
