Stage Judges<\/h4>\n
Our stage judges come with a huge wealth of experience across acting, casting, writing and directing. The panel will watch the nominee’s live performances at the Spotlight Prize and, ultimately, award one nominee the Best Actor (Stage) prize. This year’s judges are:<\/p>\n

Baird; \u2018Jeanie Savage\u2019 in\u00a0The Gold<\/em>, directed by Aneil Karia; and \u2018Jessie Cole\u2019 in\u00a0Without Sin<\/em>, directed by Al MaKay. Heather is known for casting the first UK TV series from A24,\u00a0Dreaming Whilst Black<\/em>. Amit is known for playing a wide range of characters on British television, including troubled pharmacist \u2018Faisal\u2019 in the final series of\u00a0Happy Valley<\/em>, the much-loved regular role of \u2018Fred\u2019 in Phoebe Waller-Bridge\u2019s\u00a0Crashing<\/em>, as well as appearing in Netflix\u2019s\u00a0The Witcher<\/em>, and Philip Pullman\u2019s\u00a0His Dark Materials<\/em>\u00a0for BBC and HBO.<\/p>\nOn the big screen, Amit will soon be seen in the upcoming Netflix feature\u00a0Pain Hustlers<\/em>, directed by David Yates. Recent shows include the upcoming\u00a0Partygate<\/em>\u00a0(Channel 4),\u00a0One Day<\/em>\u00a0(Netflix),\u00a0Men Up<\/em>\u00a0(BBC),\u00a0Such Brave Girls<\/em>\u00a0(BBC), and\u00a0Horseface<\/em>\u00a0(Apple). Nicky Bligh<\/strong><\/p>\nNicky is an experienced TV and film casting director who has worked with many of the UK\u2019s well-known production companies, including Merman, Roughcut, Baby Cow, Tiger Aspect, Hat Trick, Universal Films, Avalon, BBC Studios and more.
